Photo 1: This breathtaking sunset shot is a great example of affinity of tone. The brightest point is the thin horizontal middle strip, but the rest is very equal in tone. Nice shot, very flat and simple, though maybe it could just be more in focus.
Photo 2: Tons of contrast here, which also extends this shot into deep space. The overexposed windows shine on the scene and the highlights on the jumping skateboarder make him pop out beautifully. Very nice.
Photo 3: I can see that the brightest part of the picture is pretty much everything dry in this shot, while the water makes everything it touches darker. I wonder if you intended that as a symbol, like this is dirty, or destructive water or something?
Hey Jase! So I am supposed to comment on your pictures for this week, so I just decided to comment on these ones since I don't think you have posted any for week 8. I think all of these photos are really nice; I like how different they are from each other.
Your first photo is really pretty, a sunset can provide many different tones as the amount of light gradually changes.
The second photo is a really interesting choice. I like the contrasting tones a lot. Some parts of the photo are very dark while some are very light. I think it creates a great atmosphere.
Your third picture looks like it was taken in a super beautiful spot. I also like the difference between the water and the land; it is very stark. I also feel like this was taken very purposefully. However, I find the green in the photo to be distracting.
